📋 Responsibilities

  • The Petroleum Engineering Study Deputy Lead is responsible for leading integrated petroleumengineering studies to evaluate field development scenarios, optimize reservoir and well performance, and support strategic decision- making.
  • This role ensures technical quality, integration, and timely delivery of multidisciplinary studies that align with business objectives, production targets, and reservoir management strategies.
  • Interact and coordinate Petroleum Engineers’ interactions within SSF Team and with other Departments (Drilling, Operations, Development, Procurement, Finance),
  • Ensure proper communications with PSC partnersto obtain support and projectsvalidation from them.
  • Support business process of PSC and partners.
  • Provide strategic leadership for multidisciplinary production optimization studies acrossmultiple assets or fields, ensuring alignment with corporate production targets and asset development strategies.
  • Oversee the identification, prioritization, and deliveryof production enhancement initiatives, including artificial lift optimization, well interventions, stimulation programs, and surface facility upgrades.
  • Develop and recommend production optimization strategies, including well reactivation, stimulation campaigns, zonal re-completions, and facility de-bottlenecking.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration between subsurface, production operations, surface facilities, and well services teams to ensure seamless integration of technical recommendations into operational plans.
  • Drive performance benchmarking and diagnostic reviews across assets to identify systemicproduction issues and opportunities for efficiency improvements.
  • Set technical directionand quality standards for production optimization studies, ensuring robustanalysis, consistent methodologies, and high-impact recommendations.
  • Develop and manage a portfolio of production optimization opportunities, balancing short-term production gains with long-term asset integrity and value.
  • Review and challengeproduction forecasts, optimization proposals, and intervention plans to ensure technical rigor and value assurance.
  • Serve as the primary point of contactfor senior management regarding production performance issues, risks, and recovery opportunities, delivering clear, actionable updates and decision support.
  • Lead the development of internal guidelines, workflows, and best practices related to production optimization, and drive their adoption across the organization.
  • Mentor and developengineers and study leads, fosteringtechnical excellence and cross- functional capability within the production optimization domain.
  • Support annual business planning, reserves reporting, and investment evaluations by providing high-level input on production trends, risks, and enhancement opportunities.

✅ Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree (preferred) in Petroleum Engineering or projects.
  • Multicultural experience working in differentcountries / assignedin operating private international oil Company.
  • Full English written,spoken, and reading proficiency. French conversational level is preferable.
  • 10+ years of experience in similar job positions.
